FAQs

1. How long does the procedure take?

Microblading with or without shading, typically takes to 2-3 hours. This includes numbing, brow shaping, pigment masking, microblading & shading, and explanation of after-care

2. Does it hurt?

Discomfort varies depending on each client’s individual pain tolerance. Regardless, we provide medical grade topical anesthetics during the entire appointment to assist with any discomfort

3. How long does microblading + shading last?

Microblading typically lasts up to 1-2 years, depending on each client’s skin type and life style. We do recommend annual touch-ups to maintain rich color and brow shape

4. How long is the healing time?

Skin undergoes different phases throughout the 2 weeks post- treatment. The first 2 days your brows will be very dark because of the fresh pigment ;then it will begin to flake and peel. It’s very important to follow our after-care instructions during this time to promote great healing and color retention! After-care instructions will be provided and emailed immediately following procedure.

5. How do you choose the shape?

We use a brow mapping method to map the symmetry of both your eyebrows. We will collaborate and discuss what your new brows goals are and we will begin the procedure only once you are satisfied / approve the new shape.

6. How do you choose the color?

Skin tones and under tones play a significant role in color selection. Hair color and natural brow hair color, along with client’s personal preference will all be considered! At such time, we will make the color selection that best suits your skin’s undertone, eye color, natural brow color, and hair color.

7. Can I get microblading over scars?

Yes, microblading can be performed as long as the scar is flat and NOT a keloid scar. However, it is important to note that all scars ARE different than our healthy normal skin so the healed results may vary in that particular area.

8. Can I get permanent makeup if I am pregnant or breast feeding?

No, it is unsafe to pose unneccessary blood borne pathogen risks to a breast -feeding mother and baby or pregnant mother-to-be. However new moms may get PMU once they are no longer pregnant or breast-feeding

Yes. Microblading + shading is a 2-step process. The procedure is not complete until you come back for your 8-12 week touch-up. The skin must heal entirely for 8-12 weeks then a second pass AKA second application of pigment is applied, producing your beautiful final result.
